An armed patient who barricaded himself inside NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital was fatally shot by police on Thursday.
Police said the full incident was captured on body-worn cameras.
Patient, hospital security guard trapped in room with suspect
The NYPD said around 5:30 p.m., they received multiple 911 calls reporting a man with a sharp object had barricaded himself in a hospital room with other people. The callers also reported that the suspect had cut himself, was trying to cut others and had threatened to kill members of the hospital staff.
Officers arrived at the hospital a few minutes later and were sent to the eighth floor, where hospital staff pointed them to the room where the suspect was barricaded…
