8 people hospitalized for carbon monoxide exposure in Brooklyn: FDNY

GRAVESEND, Brooklyn (PIX11) – Several people were taken to the hospital late Sunday night following a carbon monoxide incident in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn, according to the FDNY.

Fire officials say they were called to a home on West Sixth Street, between Avenues U and T, just after 11 p.m. for reports of an unconscious person. When firefighters arrived, they found multiple occupants feeling ill and detected elevated levels of carbon monoxide inside the residence.

Video from the scene shows numerous fire trucks and emergency vehicles responding as crews worked to ventilate the home and assess those affected.
