How the Department of Sanitation is helping New Yorkers clear snow

It has been nearly one week since a major snowstorm blanketed the Tri-State Area. People are still digging out the mounds of snow that buried their cars. Snow that has now turned to ice.

Department of Sanitation Workers have been on 12-hour shifts for most of the last week – it is all-hands-on-deck in all neighborhoods. The cleanup continues, as do all the challenges for New Yorkers navigating the streets and sidewalks.
