On Wednesday, Feb. 11, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation Violent Felony Warrant Unit in Troop NYC arrested Bin Shao, 56, of Flushing, NY, and charged him with five counts of manslaughter in the second degree, a class C felony, and five counts of criminally negligent homicide, a class E felony, according to State Police.
Shao was processed by New York State Police and transported to the Genesee County Jail, where he was arraigned on Friday, Feb. 13, on a sealed indictment, authorities said. He was remanded to the Genesee County Jail on $100,000 cash bail, $200,000 bond, or a $400,000 partially secured bond, State Police said.
The charges stem from an Aug. 22, 2025 crash at 12:20 p.m. on I-90 eastbound between exits 48A and 49 in the town of Pembroke, Genesee County, where a 2005 Van Hool Bus and Coach owned by M&Y Tour Inc. of Staten Island, overturned, police said…
