Instead of a cast, a woman walked out of her local urgent care with some new bling.
Anais Berman, 27, slipped on black ice and fell on her wrist while walking to her home in Brooklyn on Wednesday, Feb. 11. Although she didn’t think her wrist was broken, she figured she should still get it checked out the next day. Her then-boyfriend of two years, Justin Wright, 31, set up an appointment at CityMD in Downtown Brooklyn for her, but he secretly had an ulterior motive.
Wright knew last year that he wanted to propose to Berman, and her brother had been keeping the dazzling diamond engagement ring safe for him for months. Wright was just waiting for the right moment to pop the question, and the urgent care appointment provided the perfect opportunity.
