A think tank is advising New York City to expand its metered parking to rake in up to $1.3 billion more a year from drivers.
A new report from the Center for an Urban Future says that increasing the cost of parking privileges in commercial areas could fill the city’s coin purse and free up spots for people seeking barely there parking on city streets.
