Richardson Hitchins’ rise from selling water bottles on mean Brooklyn streets for $1 to becoming boxing world champ

RICHARDSON Hitchins escaped a troubled life in Brooklyn by selling water bottles on the streets and becoming a boxer.

The New Yorker was raised in a one-bedroom apartment in Crown Heights – and found refuge in the boxing gym.

“I got into boxing because I used to fight a lot in the streets,” Hitchins told SunSport ahead of his DAZN PPV bout against Oscar Duarte.
