STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Firefighters battled a blaze at a home in Great Kills on Saturday evening.
The fire was reported on the second floor of 104 Ainsworth Ave. near Durant Avenue at 4:14 p.m., according to a spokesperson for the FDNY.
According to FDNY Battalion Chief August Orlando, the fire was believed to have started in the kitchen ceiling and then spread to the attic.
