NYPD Hunts Suspect After Late-Night Slashing Inside Crown Heights Building

NYPD Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help after a 37-year-old man was slashed inside a Crown Heights apartment building earlier this year. Police say the attack happened inside 401 Schenectady Avenue on Jan. 16 at about 10:25 p.m., leaving the victim with a hand wound and an attacker who is still unidentified.

The department put out a wanted alert on X on Feb. 22, offering up to $3,500 for information that leads to an arrest and indictment. According to police, tips can be submitted by sending a direct message to @NYPDTips on X or by calling the 24-hour tipline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
