Staten Island attorney disbarred after clients accuse him of misusing their cash

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Staten Island attorney has been disbarred after failing to respond to more than a dozen charges of personal misconduct brought against him, including scamming former clients out of cash and using those funds to conduct personal business.

Pasquale R. Calcagno, whose former office was located at 900 South Ave., was disbarred on Oct. 1 due to 14 charges of personal misconduct related to his escrow account, court documents show.

In January 2025, the Grievance Committee for the Second, Eleventh and Thirteenth Judicial Districts served Calcagno, through his counsel, with a petition outlining the various charges brought against him…
