Half of New York City’s top speeders were found driving recklessly in Brooklyn in 2025, according to new analysis from the nonprofits Transportation Alternatives and Families For Safe Streets.
The worst super speeder in New York City likes to drive around Sheepshead Bay and Gravesend, and received 259 tickets in the five boroughs and paid over $60,000 in fines, the nonprofits said.
“These Super Speeders blast their cars and trucks through New York City’s neighborhood streets at deadly speeds every day, getting caught hundreds of times a year, undeterred,” said Ben Furnas, executive director of Transportation Alternatives. “Together, their reign of terror touches almost every corner of the city. It’s time for Albany to act to slow these super speeders down and protect New York families.”…
