A judge just denied N.J. city’s desperate attempt to save hospital hours before closure

Hours before a hospital was set to shut down Saturday night, Jersey City officials announced a new plan to fight to keep the facility open.

City officials filed an injunction in state Superior Court to prevent Hudson Regional Health from closing the city’s Heights University Hospital, according to Jersey City Mayor James Solomon. He called the company’s plan to close the hospital “illegal.”…
