Nearly three months after a Harlem mother was gunned down just before Christmas, the ex-boyfriend her family always feared is now under arrest, police and relatives say.
Officers picked up 47-year-old Basilisa Negron’s former partner in the Bronx on Wednesday and charged him in her Dec. 23, 2025 killing inside a West 141st Street apartment. Authorities announced the arrest on March 25, 2026, a long-awaited development in a case that left a Harlem block grieving through the holidays.
