Monday night on March 23 turned ugly near West 52nd Street and Ninth Avenue in Midtown West, where a 53-year-old man was suddenly jumped from behind, thrown to the ground and punched in the face. The two attackers reportedly stripped him of his pants, cellphone, Rolex watch, keys and about $4,000 in cash before taking off east along Ninth Avenue, leaving the man shaken and injured. Authorities later circulated a wanted alert with photos that ask the public to help ID the pair.
