A 30-year-old man was assaulted Monday on the southbound No. 2 platform at the Beverly Road subway station in Flatbush, police said, in a burst of violence that sent riders scrambling and left one commuter in the hospital. Officers said the victim was punched repeatedly and taken to a local hospital with facial pain and swelling, where he was later listed in stable condition.
