NEW YORK (PIX11) — Rhamell Burke stood in front of a judge Saturday, smiling as he faced second-degree murder charges for allegedly shoving 76-year-old retired teacher Ross Falzone down the stairs at the 18th Street Station. Prosecutors say it was an unprovoked attack.
His defense lawyer asked for medical and psychiatric care.

Burke was arrested Friday, a day after they allege the 32-year-old walked behind Falzone as he approached the train station. At no point was there an interaction between the two men on Thursday.
