STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A sentencing hearing for Paul Caneiro — the former Staten Islander convicted of slaughtering his brother and his brother’s family inside their New Jersey mansion — is now set for May 19 in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
The hearing was postponed after the defense’s motion for a new trial was denied last month by Superior Court Judge Marc Lemieux, who presided over the trial, NJ.com reported.
