Sunday tornado confirmed in Potter County

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado touched down in Potter County in Pennsylvania on Sunday.

NWS said that the tornado touched down in Homer Township around 7:15 p.m. on June 14. NWS said that preliminary survey results show that it was an EF-0 strength tornado with peak wind speeds of 75 miles per hour. There were no injuries or deaths.

“Sporadic thunderstorm damage was noted in Potter County south of Route 6,” NWS said in a survey summary statement. “The damage point that qualified the best for a quick spin-up tornado was noted in Homer Township along Pennsylvania State Route 872.”
