BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A stunning upset. A bit of a shock. That’s how some people are describing the outcome of New York’s Democratic primary for the 61st Senate District after Assemblymember Jon Rivera secured a win.
According to the Erie County Board of Elections, with 99% of all votes counted, Rivera secured 55% of the vote, defeating incumbent State Sen. Jeremy Zellner.
