Police Respond After Man Claims He’s Victim of Human Trafficking in Erie County

POLICE AUDIO CAN BE FOUND AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE: Law enforcement received a call around 9:22pm on June 22nd after reports of a medical emergency on Delaware Avenue in Tonawanda, Erie County.

The 911 caller told police that a male was outside of Walgreens with a Spanish translator who is “suicidal.” The 911 caller also told police that the male reported being the victim of “human trafficking” and that he has “nowhere to go.”

Police responded to the scene. It is unknown whether he was taken for treatment and/or some sort of other assistance. No further information is available at this time…
