Community rallies around man struck on e-bike in hit and run

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — According to the Olean Police Department, Saturday, June 20, at around 2:45 a.m., Nick Meyer was traveling on an e-bike near the intersection of Delaware Avenue and Queen Street. That’s when police said he was struck by a vehicle and the operator left the scene.

“Basically, what we discovered in that moment was that he was left to die. Thankfully, his wife found him,” Nick Meyer’s younger brother Kyle Meyer said. “They left a man that is my brother. They left a man that is his children’s father. They left a man that is somebody’s husband for dead.”

Meyer said that when he got the call, he took the first flight available to Buffalo…
