Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550/WBEN) – It took a little more than three years, but construction of the new Highmark Stadium along Abbott Road in Orchard Park reached substantial completion back on June 23. That means the state-of-the-art, football-first facility is open and ready to host any events or games, with the first football-related event happening Saturday, Aug. 8 with the annual “Return of the Blue and Red” scrimmage.
