BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Erie County Fair announced a series of price reductions for this summer’s fair on Tuesday, aimed at making the overall fair experience more affordable for families.
“As we prepared for this year’s fair, we spent a great deal of time talking about value and we know that families are feeling the pressure of higher costs in almost every part of their lives — groceries, gas, healthcare, insurance, electric,” Erie County Fair CEO Jessica Underberg said. “And we know that when a family chooses to come to the Erie County Fair, they are making a decision about when and where to spend their time and money and we don’t take that lightly.”
Price reductions include:
- Advance Sale Tickets (from July 7 to Aug. 7) — $15, a savings of $2 from last year
- Regular Admission Tickets (from Aug. 8 to Aug. 23) — $19, a savings of $3.60 from last year
- Early-Bird Pricing — $16 when purchased at the fair each day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Senior Discount Day, Aug. 18, ages 62 and older — $12, a savings of $3 from last year
- Each food vendor will offer at least one item for $7 or less
- On Aug. 13, every ride is just $2
“Everyone knows costs are rising and that is true for us too,” Underberg said. “We believe giving families more opportunities to save is the right decision for our guests, our community and the long-term health of the Erie County Fair.”
