4 charged for climbing up, staying on grain elevator for 8 hours

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Four men are facing misdemeanor trespassing charges after allegedly climbing to the top of grain elevators on Ohio Street on July 4 and staying there for eight hours, Buffalo police said.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Ohio Street around 8:30 p.m. on July 4, officials said, for a shots fired call. A group of people at the top of the grain elevators allegedly included a man who was shooting toward the ground, officials said.

The Buffalo Police SWAT Team and the Crisis Management Team responded, and the group came down from the grain elevators, which was abandoned, after eight hours, police said…
