POLICE AUDIO CAN BE FOUND AT THE END OF THIS ARTICLE: Law enforcement received a call around 7:45pm on July 12th after reports of a violent domestic incident on 14th Avenue in North Tonawanda.
The 911 caller – a 10-year-old boy – told police that a mother tried to stab him and his young sister with a knife. The mother was said to be highly intoxicated. At the time of the call, she still had the knife. The caller was able to escape the residence but his sister remained inside with the mother.
Multiple police units responded to the scene. It is unknown if the mother was arrested or taken for mental health treatment. It is unknown if Child Protective Services became involved. No further information is available at this time…
