BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo Police responded to a call for a suspicious looking device near the Lovejoy Discovery School on Benzinger Street in the City of Buffalo Saturday night.
Police had streets around the school blocked off, while what appeared to be a robotic device inspected what looked like rows of red tubes with a clock attached to the top.
“It was precariously placed right next to the chain linked fence on the side of the school on Benzinger Street that houses the incoming gas lines,” witness and nearby business owner Philip Beavers said. “I’m concerned for all my neighbors, I’m concerned for everybody, even if is fake, which I do believe it probably was, it was meant to menace people and just waste time for the police, which is just incredibly wasteful of our resources here.”…
