BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Western New York music fans have plenty to choose from when it comes to the decision of which concert to attend tonight. Some may even view not being able to catch all of the shows in town as a negative, as several local venues’ calendars are filled this evening.
In Hamburg, the Happy Together Tour will be taking the stage at the Erie County Fair’s Channel 4 concert series. This year’s lineup features 1960s and ’70s legends The Cowsills, The Association, The Troggs, Jason Scheff of Chicago, Gary Puckett, The Fortunes, Ron Dante, and The Vogues. Bob Cowsill spoke with WIVB arts and entertainment series Buffalo Jukebox in June about the tour and the band’s upcoming record. Last year, Dante, of The Archies and The Turtles, discussed his perspective on the tour and the camaraderie between bands.
In downtown Buffalo, Bryan Adams will be taking the stage at the KeyBank Center on his “Roll With the Punches” tour, with support from Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo. Meanwhile, the Violent Femmes will be playing a 45th anniversary show at nearby Terminal B on the city’s Outer Harbor, with 54.40 opening, replacing the Psychedelic Furs on the initial bill…
