Gov. Hochul applauds “dream team” assembled to test for radiation as families still demand answers and relocation

NIAGARA COUNTY, N.Y. — Governor Kathy Hochul was in Western New York on Monday being briefed on the current status of radiation testing happening in Erie and Niagara Counties.

As of Monday, more than 1,000 properties in Erie and Niagara County have been tested for radioactive hotspots. That figure has held steady for several weeks.

Of the 1,000 properties tested, 33 required additional follow-up with the Environmental Protection Agency. 32 of those properties are in the Town of Niagara of the City of Niagara Falls and one is located on Grand Island…
