BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — After the Hood Taste of Buffalo was canceled by city officials, Buffalo Common Council Member Zeneta Everhart says vendors didn’t receive refunds for the money they paid.
“I am deeply disappointed by the cancellation of the rescheduled Hood Taste of Buffalo, but more importantly, I am disappointed for the vendors, small business owners, and community members who invested their hard-earned money, time, and trust into this event,” Everhart said in a statement released Wednesday.
When city officials initially postponed the food vendor event scheduled for August, they claimed that organizers failed to secure the right permits to host the gathering.
