If you plan on spending any time in downtown Buffalo, expect to start paying more to park in a city-owned spot. The city announced they will be switching over to a new APP that charges a higher fee, and that cost will be passed on to you.
City Of Buffalo Changing Parking App
Currently, the City of Buffalo is using the parking app “Buffalo Roam” for it’s meters. They will change over to a new app called “Park Mobile,” which is used in several major cities across the country.
That switch will end up costing you more to park if you use the app. Park Mobile charges a $.60 processing fee for every transaction, which it splits with the city.
According to WIVB, the Buffalo Roam app only charged $.11 per transaction. So you will end up paying almost $.50 more to park if you use the app…
