When I first met Finn and Buffy men’s shop owner, Tom McNamara, I was immediately impressed with his throwback clothing ethos. It was while visiting his location at the Market Arcade that I became so enamoured with his expertly curated collection of vintage menswear (learn more). At the time, I was hoping that there would be enough foot traffic within the building, to support the newfound enterprise.
Just this morning, I learned from fashion guru Giovanni Centurione that a new “Coming Soon” sign had appeared at 130 Pearl Street near Church Street in Downtown Buffalo. That means that vintage menswear aficionados will soon have even easier access to coveted clothing lines such as Woolrich, Ralph Lauren, L.L.Bean, Polo, IZOD, and Pendleton. Not only does McNamara expertly source the finest selections on top quality men’s clothing, he also has a knack for displaying the merchandise thanks to his employment stint at O’Connell’s Clothing on Main Street in the University District, as well as being a stylist at J. Crew in a “previous life.”
Now, McNamara is turning his attention to 130 Pearl Street – a renovation project that we featured in May of 2025.
Finn and Buffy setting up shop at 130 Pearl Street is the perfect mashup of classic American fashion and architecture. Few people could have seen this coming, but everyone will be thrilled to see it come to fruition…
