Visit Buffalo has announced that nine local chefs (along with their respective restaurants) have been selected by a committee as potential candidates for garnering a James Beard Award®. The nominated line-up of “who’s who’ of culinary greats includes some relatively newer faces, as well as some old(er) hats in the business. The list of chefs, bakers, and establishments has been curated by a panel of local experts that was put together by Visit Buffalo.
We all recognize that Buffalo has some really incredible culinary talents. For its size, this city’s food scene is rather brilliant. We are not a city that hangs its hat upon a network of ubiquitous fast food chains. We are a city built upon the high standards of independent restaurateurs. And with that comes a healthy amount of lauded recognition, locally at least.
Now, Visit Buffalo is doing its part to further broadcast the names of this region’s culinary greats that deserve to be recognized as potential candidates for an esteemed James Beard Award®…
