BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man faces a maximum of 50 years in prison after committing a string of robberies in gas station stores across Western New York in 2021, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Friday.
Londarr S. Ward, 39, was convicted of four felony counts of first degree robbery and one count of misdemeanor criminal possession of stolen property.
According to the DA’s office, Ward flashed “what appeared to be a pistol” and forcibly stole scratch-off lottery tickets and cash from the register of the following gas station convenience stores:
- Sunoco, Union Road in Cheektowaga — Feb. 22, 2021
- Kwik Fill, Harlem Road in Cheektowaga — Feb. 24, 2021
- Kwik Fill, Millersport Highway in Amherst — Feb. 28, 2021
- Marathon, Grover Cleveland Highway in Amherst — March 7, 2021
On March 8, 2021, police arrested Ward and found lottery tickets reported stolen from the Marathon on Grover Cleveland Highway.
Ward faces a maximum of 50 years in prison when he is sentenced on March 1. He is being held without bail.
