Senior Bowl standout could be Bills’ perfect replacement for All-Pro

With Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde set to hit free agency in 2024, it might be time to look for a replacement. With Jordan Poyer locked up for another season, it will be tough to keep two safeties at a top-of-the-market price.

Recently, Micah’s wife, Amanda, posted what seemed to be a farewell message to the Bills Mafia. Although it’d be a painful departure if it comes to that, especially with a new defensive coordinator , but there are candidates to replace him in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Among those is Senior Bowl standout Kamren Kinchens, who recently spoke to A to Z Sports’ own Travis May to discuss who he models his game after.

Kinchens mentioned Antoine Winfield, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ versatile safety who was named First-Team All-Pro in 2023. In the clip below, Kinchens mentions various players he’d like to play with. Although not on the video, May revealed he also mentioned the Bills’ Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde.

He’d fit right into the Bills’ defensive scheme. Under the Sean McDermott regime, Buffalo has done a great job giving safeties hybrid roles where they play free and strong safety.
