Cheektowaga man arrested in connection with multiple Buffalo burglaries

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Cheektowaga man was arrested in connection with a string of burglaries around the City of Buffalo over the past month, the Buffalo Police Department announced.

Police said Alex Fleming III, 26, is alleged to have been involved with burglarizing three businesses, two in December and one in January, with the total cost of theft and damages estimated to be over $45,000.

Suspects allegedly burglarized a business the night of Dec. 29 on the 2000 block of South Park Avenue after the building’s cameras were disabled. An ATM and two cash registers were damaged while thousands of dollars in cash and tobacoo products were allegedly taken.

The same night, another business on the 800 block of East Delavan Avenue was also allegedly burglarized, with cash, tobacco products and an ATM all being taken from the property.

The third burglary took place Sunday, when an unknown suspect allegedly entered a business on the 1300 block of Fillmore Avenue and damaged three ATMs, taking cash from them, as well as tobacco products and more money from the store.
