BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A West Seneca man has pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident that fatally injured a pedestrian in Cheektowaga in 2022, the Erie County District Attorney’s office said Thursday.
Frankie Hauser, 33, admitted to hitting and killing a man while he was walking underneath the I-90 bridge on Clinton Street on Feb. 26, 2022. The victim, 64-year-old Paul Kitchen of Buffalo, was hit from behind and died at ECMC. Hauser drove away from the scene and did not report the accident to police.
He pleaded guilty to one count of leaving the scene of an incident without reporting resulting in death.
He faces up to seven years in prison when he is sentenced on April 4. He was released on his own recognizance.
