Teens arrested for stealing guns from Buffalo Naval Park

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A pair of Buffalo teens were arrested last Thursday for allegedly stealing handguns from the Buffalo Naval Park.

Police responded to a call of a burglary in progress at around 11:20 p.m. and found Abdikfi Saleh, 18, and Tyler Newman, 19, walking away from the scene “brandishing firearms,” a media release said.

Saleh and Newman were arrested, and police recovered two Colt 45 1911 handguns at the scene.

The teens were both charged with one count of burglary and one count of criminal possession of stolen property — both felonies — and a misdemeanor weapon possession charge.
