BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Kenmore man was sentenced to 23 years to life in prison for a home invasion and beating on Bucyrus Drive in Amherst in 2022, the Erie County District Attorney’s office said Wednesday.
Mark S. Shadle, 34, and another man broke into a home in the late evening hours of Oct. 28, 2022. Once inside, they threatened, bound and beat the victim and stole various items from the home.
The victim was taken by ambulance to ECMC to be treated for serious injuries to his head, chest, arms and legs. This included severe lacerations to his arms from being bound.
Shadle was found guilty of one count of first-degree burglary and one count of first-degree robbery in December. He was sentenced as a persistent violent felony offender.
His co-defendant, 37-year-old Jason Evans of Depew, will be sentenced on March 25.
