Buffalo man arrested for drug possession, evidence tampering

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) – The Erie County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 46-year-old Darryl Toliver of Buffalo on Friday on drug charges.

A search warrant was conducted on Wednesday by the Narcotics and Intelligence Unit with officers finding a half ounce of crack cocaine in Toliver’s possession.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Toliver unsuccessfully attempted to hide the substance in his underwear.

Officers also searched a business on Niagara Street and found scales and packaging materials along with a small amount of cocaine.

Toliver has been charged with two counts of Third Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, two counts of Second Degree Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia, and one count of Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Toliver is due back in court for a felony hearing March 8.
