Justin K. White, 38, from Buffalo, has been sentenced to 3 ½ to 7 years in prison by State Supreme Court Justice Betty Calvo-Torres, according to Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn. Over five months, White stole from four different stores on six occasions, taking items such as electronics, kitchen tools, clothing, and food and drinks. The total value of the stolen goods exceeded $5,000. Four of these thefts occurred in stores where White had previously been banned due to past shoplifting incidents.

On November 26, 2022, White entered a store on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst without permission, stealing merchandise worth $1,536.99. He returned to the same store two days later and stole items valued at $1,099. Despite being confronted by a loss prevention employee, White left the store. He was arrested on January 4, 2023, and charged with two counts each of Burglary in the Third Degree and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree.

White was arrested again on January 30, 2023, after stealing goods worth around $1,006 from a store on Amelia Drive in Orchard Park. He had previously been banned from all retail locations due to a shoplifting incident in October 2022. He was charged with one count each of Burglary in the Third Degree and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree. His bail was set at $2,500 cash, $10,000 bond and $25,000 partially secured surety bond.
