BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man was arraigned Thursday morning for his alleged involvement in a June 2023 fatal stabbing, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office announced.

Eric M. Hawkins, 58, was arrested in the City of Rochester on Tuesday and charged with one count of murder in the second degree, officials said.

On June 11, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Hawkins allegedly stabbed 39-year-old Glenn Ervin Drue Jr. multiple times outside of a home on Connelly Avenue, authorities said. The victim was taken by ambulance to ECMC where he later died from his injuries.
