Jaguars Looking For Better Offensive Success Against Upstart Bills

The Buffalo Bills know they have an elite defense on their hands despite the rash of injuries to some of their biggest stars.

The good news regarding that, though is that they take on a desperate team who seemingly can’t get anything right at the moment.

When the Jacksonville Jaguars travel to Western New York Monday night for a contest against the Bills, they do so carrying one of the worst third down offenses in the game today.

Crazy to think about with a top young quarterback like Trevor Lawrence on the field. It’s something that offensive coordinator Press Taylor knows must change on Monday.

“I think a big thing for us is just third-down conversions. We haven’t had enough snaps because we’re not converting enough on third down to begin with,” Taylor said Friday. “We’ve had some manageable third-down situations that we haven’t executed well, but I think we’ve had about 55 and 54 plays in two games. That’s not enough.”

Buffalo’s defense has been excellent on third down for most of the season to this point. They still have a long way to go, but they could cause major problems for Lawrence and the Jaguars offense if they are not careful.
