BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A North Tonawanda man was sentenced to serve 14 years in prison for his role in a drug conspiracy, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Johnny Williams, 32, was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 400 grams or more of fentanyl.
Officials said between June and October of 2021, Williams conspired with others, including Lairon Graham, to sell fentanyl and crack cocaine from a residence on Liddell Street.
During a search warrant at a residence on Davey Street in August 2021, investigators found approximately 44 grams of fentanyl, 37 grams of crack cocaine, around $2,500 in cash and assorted drug paraphernalia, authorities said.
According to officials, Williams struck an individual in the upper arm while firing multiple gunshots from a semi-automatic pistol in March 2022. The government said the shooting was to discourage another person from giving information to law enforcement about the narcotics conspiracy, but Williams said that was not his motivation for the shooting.
