Amari Cooper Trade Called ‘Stroke Of Genius’ For Bills

Michael Irvin is one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history. He, of all other receivers, understands the importance of pass catchers ending up in the right place for them and the team.

It’s why he thinks highly of the Buffalo Bills’ move to acquire Amari Cooper.

The former Dallas Cowboy was thrilled with the trade that moved Cooper to the Bills in a trade that Irvin called a “stroke of genius.”

“The more and more I watch this game and watch how this combination is going to work, I thought this was a stroke of genius, even more so than I thought it was [originally],” Irvin said. “Let me tell you why I say this; when I’m watching the personalities on this team now, it fits. It fits with what you’re doing now and what you want to get accomplished later.”

Cooper caught four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in the team’s 34-10 win with the Bills over the Titans on Sunday. While the offense took a little bit of time to figure stuff out, the group turned it on in the second half.
