It has a chance to be a “game for the ages” in large part because of the people involved. A Kansas City Chiefs example? Travis Kelce. A Buffalo Bills example? Josh Allen.
The Chiefs are undefeated heading into today’s matchup for a great number of reasons. But their consistent excellence – they are bidding to become the first NFL team ever to win three straight Super Bowls – can be tied to the consistent excellence of Kelce … arguably the greatest receiving tight end of all time.
Meanwhile, in this high-profile late-afternoon star that seems Buffalo is just 1.5 games behind KC, the Bills will be led by Josh Allen. And all he’s doing is playing like an MVP (again.)
A Bills win here – 8-2 Buffalo is actually a two-point favorite over the 9-0 Chiefs – would leave the AFC wide open with plenty of games left in the season.
And Kelce, via his “New Heights” podcast, recognizes how Allen might be the driving force today.
“I think Josh is taking it up another level too, man,” Kelce said. “I think he’s doing an unbelievable job of taking care of the ball. Mixing in when he’s going to be the bulldozer that he is and then mixing up when he wants to run around guys. He’s playing great football.”
