Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) – It’s hard to believe that it’s been 10 years since a crippling lake effect snow event paralyzed areas around Buffalo. The three-day lake snow event started Nov. 17, 2014 and lasted until Nov. 19. The snow was so intense at times that snow rates reached as much as 6 inches per hour with thunder and lightning in the heavy snow.
