West Seneca, NY (WBEN) An exit ramp on the 219 was closed for several hours Tuesday afternoon after an ambulance rolled over en route to an area hospital.
West Seneca Police say at approximately 10:45 am, the ambulance traveling from North Collins to South Buffalo Mercy Hospital rolled over while coming off the 219 North exit ramp to Ridge Road East. The ambulance was carrying a 71 year old patient.
The patient and two emergency medical technicians were transported to area hospitals for treatment. The extent of injuries to those involved is not known at this time.
The Ridge Road East exit ramp was shut down for the next several hours.
The West Seneca Police Department Accident Investigation Unit have been on the scene.
