41 People Were Arrested In Niagara County This Week

Police in Niagara County were certainly busy this past week. For a minute, it seemed like crime had slowed down pretty significantly. Last week there were 13 people arrested and the week before there were 15 people arrested in the county. I guess now that the holidays are over, crime is back at full speed. It may have been hopeful thinking on my part that we could start 2025 with less crime than we had in 2024.

One recent crime committed by a Niagara County resident was a horrific case of animal abuse. Ashley Pritchard of Lockport was arrested after her dog was found alone on a road in Lockport. The dog named Eve was severely emaciated. Sadly, Eve died the day after she was rescued by the Niagara SPCA. Pritchard, who was arrested by SPCA Humane Law Enforcement Agents was arraigned on one felony count of aggravated cruelty to an animal, according to WGRZ. She is due back in court on February 20, 2025…
