The National Weather Service issued a report at 9:08 a.m. on Thursday for snow showers and gusty winds until noon for Erie, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.
“Snow showers will increase in coverage as temperatures continue to fall below freezing this morning. southwest winds with wind gusts up to 40 mph will continue across the region. Snow accumulations of one to two inches are possible, mainly across the higher terrain east of Lake Erie,” states the weather service.
