Poloncarz warns Buffalo budget gap could ‘significantly’ exceed $70M

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, in a letter to the Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority, warns that “Buffalo may face a budget gap significantly greater than the gap of $70,000,000 recently announced by Acting Mayor Christopher Scanlon.”

The County Executive also said the revenue projections in the recommended budget “may be overstated and spending cuts that may be impossible to achieve.”
